Information about pores and blackheads (comedones)

Pory skin (characterized by blackheads) can be the beginning of teenage acne (pubertypimples). Even adults can have blackheads. During the teens humans produce more sex hormone called testosterone, this causes an overproduction of tallow in the skin. Pores can be closed or open, an open pore (blackhead) often looks like a little black dot whilst a closed pore is white. Both pores have a elevation point from where the tallow leaks out. The black part of blackheads is not dirt but oxidated pigment. Most commonly blackheads emerge on the face but they also occur on the chest and back.

Treating pores and blackheads

It can be very tempting to pinch a blackhead, but if one does not know how to do it properly it can get a lot worse if the blackhead bursts and becomes inflammated which later on becomes a sore pimple. One should do a poredraining at acnespecialisten or any other authorized skinspecialist, and then treat using CarePlus products.
